The landscaping and contemporary architecture of the shingle-roofed villas is based on traditional Balinese principles, utilising local materials and incorporating the essential elements of Balinese Hindu philosophy and symbolism. The complex was named after the ancient Javanese Majapahit Empire, a golden age that had a profound effect on the art, culture and political organisation of Bali. This theme is reflected in the grand proportions of the villas, together with the white Palimanan stone walkways and the terracotta brick walls that border them. Location

Majapahit Beach Villas are situated in a most advantageous location because:

• They are a few minutes away from all kinds of activities, such as rafting, elephant safari park, monkey temple, tennis, horse riding, water sports and golfing

The recent construction of the Sanur-Kusamba by-pass road has made this area accessible to the rest of the island and positions Majapahit within easy driving distance of most of Bali's tourist attractions.
